Dr. Madeline Fernandez, PhD, MSN, RN, WHNP-BC, and Claudia Kitchin, MSN-NE, RN, had the privilege of presenting a research study titled "Preferences for Perinatal Bereavement Support for Latino Families in Eastern North Carolina". The presentation was well received, with great discussion and audience engagement.
We are incredibly proud to share that our North Carolina chapter was well represented at this year’s Annual NAHN Conference, celebrating 51 years of Hispanic familia, leadership, and excellence in nursing! Dr. Leticia Acevedo, EdD, MSN, RN, CCRN, presented a poster on the development and implementation of a Nursing Assistant Program at ECU Health. This presentation received great feedback. Members of the audience verbalized interest in replicating the model at their own organizations.
